Imagine kayaking across a crystal-clear mountain lake, the towering limestone walls of the Neretva Canyon rising straight out of the water around you. You paddle to the base of the cliff, swap your paddle for a harness, and start climbing, hands on iron rungs, cables keeping you safe, the lake dropping further below with every step. This is one of the most unique adventure combinations in Bosnia & Herzegovina. No single-sport day out, you arrive by water and conquer the mountain. The via ferrata route is accessible to active individuals; prior climbing experience is advised. Your guide is with you the entire time, from the first stroke of the paddle to the moment you reach the viewpoint and take in one of the most stunning panoramas in the region. Paddle across the stunning emerald lake with the dramatic canyon walls rising around you, until you reach the foot of the via ferrata route. 🧗 STAGE 2 — Via Ferrata Prenjska Vrata (1.5–2 hours) Clipped into fixed iron cables and rungs, you climb the rock face with your guide by your side the whole way. No climbing experience needed — the ferrata system keeps you safe and the route is manageable for beginners. 🥾 STAGE 3 — Walk to the viewpoint (~20 min) A short walk brings you to a breathtaking panoramic viewpoint over the lake and valley.
